If you choose to register a domain name only (without hosting) you will still receive a free welcome page and have unlimited email forwarding to the account of your choice. We will setup an email address of your choice at your domain name (name@yourdomain.com).

What is a Domain Name and what is allowed in a Domain Name? Your Domain Name is your identity on the Internet. It is like having your own phone number. Essentially, Domain Names serve as routing addresses on the Internet. Each Domain Name cocrresponds to its numeric IP address - for example, the Domian Name associated with the IP 208.55.202.180 is thefax.com.

The only characters allowed in a Domain Name are the 26 letters of the English alphabet, numbers 0 - 9, and hyphens (-). A domain cannot begin or end with a hyphen, but it may contain one or more hyphens. You may use up to 63 characters plus the gTLD (generic Top Level Domain: .com, .net. and .org) as part of the Domain Name. Domain Names are not case sensitive and are usually displayed in all lowercase.

Hosting Information

In order to have a Web Site on the Internet you must have a Web Server. The Web Server is where your site resides on the Internet. Setting up and maintaining this server is referred to as 'Hosting'. META Tags consist of three items:

[ 01 ] Title

This should be the name of your Web site. Include your organization and / or product name along with a short descriptive phrase.

[ 02 ] Keywords

These should match the words that someone would enter in a search to find your site. Include your company name, products, your product category, services, the plural of those words, possible misspellings, geographic location and any terms strongly related to your field / industry.

This is the description that will show along with your site title in search engines and directories. Your description should consist of a sentence or two conveying the most important aspects of your product(s) and / or service(s) and should be no more than twenty-five (25) words in length.
